Perryhan El-Ashmawi Bio
Perryhan El Ashmawi was born in Bahrain in 1988 to Egyptian parents. In 2009, she attained a BA in Fine Arts from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada, majoring in Painting & Drawing.
She finds inspiration from the innovative styles of contemporary and urban art. Graphic and graffiti illustrative works are a few examples of urban art that has influenced her designs. Her work typically juxtaposes symbolic and graffiti-like elements.
Perryhan has showcased her work in Montreal, Bahrain and Dubai, participating in both solo and group exhibitions. She was also fortunate in showcasing at The Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition for two consecutive years, held at the Bahrain National Museum.
She is currently residing in Dubai, exploring the art scene and taking on new opportunities that come her way. As Perryhan’s artistry rises to an international level, she is certain that art will always be a lifetime passion.
